Copulate or perish

Well, the insanity has officially started, I guess. And our local good ol’ boy, George SmellPell has been reported as issuing this little bit of advice:

The Catholic Archbishop of Sydney, Cardinal George Pell, today warned Western nations such as Australia to populate or perish.

So let me see if I’ve got that right… we have to populate, so that means… gee… SEX! We have to have SEX (and preferably not with a Catholic priest, although they do not seem to have much difficulty in getting their ends wet anyway).  So in other words, the Catholic Church is telling Western nations such as Australia to go and get fucked.

Makes sense. After all, some of us have been telling the Catholic Church to go and do the same for years. And a lot of their priests do indeed seem to have taken that advice. Who says Mother Church never listens to external input? Or is that internal exput?

Australians were tempted to believe they could have a strong, happy family life without God, he said.

And you know what? It’s TRUE! The strongest, happiest family life is without believing in medieval superstitious garbage. Go on, give in to your temptations. You know you want to. I did.

I don’t know if Georgey boy wants more people about because of:

a) There would be more potential converts to his brand of intellectual inanity (there goes my alliteration fix for this afternoon);
b) The Muslims would have a less favourable ratio to compete with;
c) Some other reason;
d) All of the above.

but I suspect the answer is d.

Ah yes, World Stupid Week. The Cross and Icon gridlock is well and truly going to affect our city, big time.

We’ve been invaded by morons. It’s depressing.
